Grandpa comes to the rescue

My dad is here this week lending a helping hand while Kevin is away in Europe. I must admit that I was a bit wary of how much "help" he would be able to give me with the kids, but all of my fears and concerns have been abated and he has proven himself to be an enormous help so far this week.

He has managed to get the kids to school for the last two days and has also taken over Delaney duties like getting dressed, breakfast, dinner, pj's, diapers and storytime. Not only that but we had lamb shanks for dinner last night AND it was ready at 5:45!

It just goes to show that someone can step up and rise to your expectations if you give them a chance. I am also glad to have his company around and simply wish I was not so busy that we could spend more quality time together. But at least we are getting this week.

Also, a huge bonus of his visit, he has somehow managed to begin the fence repair project that is desperately needed in this backyard. The Colorado winds said FU to our fence a while back and now Grandpa is putting it back into working order.
