Our holiday trip to California

We had an amazing and wonderful trip to San Diego for the holidays. We stayed with Jo and Bob, but we were able to visit my bro and his wife Janet. This meant we got to see Lucy and the new nephew Luke which was definitely the highlight of the trip for me. The weather cooperated nicely for our visit and Kevin and I were able to get out for a bunch of runs and even see a movie (Slumdog Millionaire).

Serious cuteness

Delaney went to school today in one of the cutest outfits she's ever had on. I love that recently she has come to letting me put her in dresses. This comes after a full year of her absolutely REFUSING to wear anything girly. Who knows with this one...

Butterfly Pavilion visit

On Sunday I went to the Butterfly Pavilion with my friends Anne and Joelle. Our kiddos were all born within the same week (Joelle and I were even in the hospital together) and we eventually met up through a mom's group at Becoming Mothers. Delaney really likes Spencer and Kyra, and had a blast running around looking at insects, bugs, fish, butterflies, etc.

It's a great place to bring a toddler although the butterfly room itself was stifling hot and humid for this prego lady.

Silly bathtime fun

A recent trend for Delaney is to relish in putting her head or face underwater. When she takes a bath one of her new favorite things is to lay down and have everything immersed except her face. She just loves it and because there was no one around last night to show off her amazing "bath lay down" technique, she kept calling for Lucy to come and look at her. Funny.
